“We don’t wait for things to happen. We make them happen.”
Intentional, decisive, relentless action. Set the tempo, strike first, impose your will.
Former NFL Offensive Lineman · Head Football Coach · Entrepreneur · Speaker · Husband · Father
Two decades. Five chapters. One line through all of them.
Before the clipboard and the sideline headset, there were seven seasons in the trenches.
I wore #75 on the offensive line at the University of Arkansas, and carried the same number to the Miami Dolphins from 2008 to 2014: 74 games, 19 starts, every position on the line.
The NFL taught me three things: discipline, preparation, and resilience. Those are the same three things I coach today.
I am the Head Football Coach at North Greenville University.
In 2025 we went 6–0 in Conference Carolinas, won the CC Bowl, reached the NCAA Division II playoffs, and I was honored as Conference Coach of the Year.
But records are outputs, not the mission. The mission is developing total men: Christ-centered leaders ready for life beyond the game.
Every man I coach, every team I build, and every business I run operates on the same five principles.
“We don’t wait for things to happen. We make them happen.”
Intentional, decisive, relentless action. Set the tempo, strike first, impose your will.
“Loyalty is the glue that holds a team together.”
Commitment that costs you. Show up when it’s inconvenient, tell the hard truths, and don’t abandon the mission when it gets heavy.
“You don’t rise to the occasion. You fall to the level of your preparation.”
Study every assignment. Refuse to be caught off guard. Preparation is what keeps you on the roster when talent alone doesn’t. Those who survive the unexpected weren’t lucky; they were ready beforehand.
“Your influence grows when your ego shrinks.”
Strength to put the team above self. Block for others’ wins. Accept the coaching. Own the mistake. No one is bigger than the program.
“Adversity doesn’t build character. It reveals it.”
Built spiritually, mentally, physically to take the blows. Adversity, failure, doubt, criticism. Built through faith, preparation, and the people around you. Stay in the fight.
Every morning. Every rep. Every decision.
Nate GarnerThe legacy you leave is the life you live every single day.
Off the sideline, I operate Garner Legacy LLC: web services, drone videography, and consulting.
I host the ALPHA Golf Classic to fund NGU Football. I run the Garner Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) for young athletes. I produce ALPHA Sports Media and The ALPHA Podcast. And I speak at churches, conferences, corporate offsites, and camps across the country.
The most important roles I hold aren’t on any business card.
I’m Tiffany’s husband and father to three sons. My identity is grounded in Jesus Christ. That’s the foundation under everything else I build.
